2008 was another great camp season. Our theme this past summer was “Transformed.” The campers were all challenged to make transformations in their personal lives and to help others see the need for Christ in their own lives.

 

Our High School week (July 6-12) Transformed the camp in a good way! The campers painted the girls dorm, split and stacked wood from a few trees, they cleaned up any trash on the grounds, emptied trash cans, and several other things. The campers sacrificed their recreation time on Friday to complete these projects. Their attitudes about performing these tasks were exceptional.

 

I would like to give a special thanks to the people at Iberia Lumber for donating the paint to the camp. Their generosity helped transform the dorm to a nice neutral color and also helped teach the campers responsibility for their camp. Again, thank you for your donation and continued support of GCSC.
